WHAT WE DELIVER
AI and automation track
AI can save hours or create a compliance incident. We map your processes, classify what belongs in AI, automate the boring work safely, and keep a human accountable for outcomes.
Perth businesses are under pressure to "do something with AI". Most vendors skip the boring parts: what data is allowed, who approves output, and what happens when the model gets it wrong. We start with your processes, classify the data, then automate with guardrails your board can explain.
Discover
Process mapping, pain points, and quick-win automation candidates without touching production data.
Design
Traffic-light classification, tool selection, guardrails, and human approval paths documented before build.
Deploy
Implement in Microsoft 365, Power Platform, or integrated apps. Train staff on what AI is and is not allowed to do.
AI DATA TRAFFIC LIGHTS
Every dataset and use case gets a colour before it touches a model. This is how we show clients and auditors that AI is governed, not guessed.
Green · Suitable for AI with standard controls
-
Internal drafting and summarisation
Meeting notes, internal memos, and first drafts from approved internal sources. No customer PII in the prompt.
-
Ticket categorisation and routing
Classify help desk tickets, suggest assignee, and surface knowledge base articles. Logs retained for review.
-
Repetitive data transformation
Format conversion, deduplication, and report assembly on non-sensitive datasets inside your tenant.
-
Process documentation
Turn screen recordings or SOP outlines into structured runbooks for staff training.
Amber · AI allowed with guardrails and human approval
-
Customer-facing content drafts
Marketing copy, support replies, and proposals. AI assists; a named human approves before anything goes out.
-
Internal search over business data
Copilot or RAG over SharePoint libraries you have classified. Boundaries, retention, and access reviewed first.
-
Workflow automation across apps
Power Automate, Logic Apps, or API integrations that move data between systems. Full audit trail and error handling required.
-
Code and script generation
Useful for internal tools. Peer review, test in non-production, and never paste credentials or secrets into prompts.
Red · Do not put in AI
-
Credentials, secrets, and keys
Passwords, API keys, connection strings, and certificate material never belong in any AI tool, ever.
-
Personal, financial, and health information
Customer PII, payroll, medical records, and payment card data stay out of public or unapproved models.
-
Legal privileged and regulated records
Litigation material, HR investigations, and compliance submissions without explicit legal and data-governance sign-off.
-
Security configuration exports
Firewall rules, Conditional Access policies, and tenant admin dumps. Too sensitive for external inference.
-
Unapproved shadow AI tools
Staff pasting company data into consumer chatbots outside your tenant boundary. We shut that down, not encourage it.
GUARDRAILS WE IMPLEMENT
Approved tools only
Microsoft 365 Copilot, Azure OpenAI in your tenant, or vetted SaaS with data processing agreements. No mystery browser extensions.
Data classification first
Label SharePoint sites, mailboxes, and datasets before AI touches them. The traffic-light model is useless without classification.
Tenant and region boundaries
Data stays in Australian or agreed regions. No training on your content unless you explicitly opt in and understand the terms.
Logging and retention
Prompts and outputs logged where policy requires. Retention aligned with your industry obligations.
Access and least privilege
AI features enabled per role, not org-wide by default. Same identity controls as the rest of your uplift.
HUMAN IN THE LOOP
Automation without accountability is how businesses end up on the wrong side of privacy law and customer trust. We design every amber workflow so a real person owns the outcome.
- ✓
Named approvers
Customer-facing and amber-zone outputs require a specific person to approve, not an anonymous "team".
- ✓
Escalation when AI is unsure
Low-confidence results route to a human queue instead of auto-sending.
- ✓
Accountability stays with the business
AI is a tool. Your directors and managers remain accountable for decisions that affect customers and compliance.
- ✓
Regular review cadence
Quarterly check that automations still match process reality and that nobody has routed red data through amber workflows.
Why this builds credibility
Boards and insurers are asking about AI governance. A traffic-light model, written guardrails, and named approvers give you something defensible in a meeting, not a slide that says "we use Copilot now." We tie automation back to your Microsoft 365 tenant, identity controls, and the same security uplift thinking we use everywhere else. That is the difference between a gimmick and an operating model.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Do you implement AI tools or just advise?
Both. We start with process mapping and the traffic-light model, then implement approved automations in Microsoft 365, Power Platform, and integrated line-of-business apps where it makes sense. We do not deploy AI for the sake of a demo.
What is the traffic-light system?
Green is low-risk internal use with clear boundaries. Amber needs guardrails and human approval before output affects customers or moves regulated data. Red is never suitable for AI without a formal exception process, and usually means do not use AI at all for that data class.
How does this connect to cyber security?
AI expands your attack surface and data leakage paths. We align automation with your identity controls, DLP policies, and the Stride IT Security Standard. For many clients this sits inside or alongside the Continual Security Uplift Program.
Can you automate without AI?
Yes. Plenty of wins are plain workflow automation: approvals, notifications, CRM sync, and reporting. We recommend AI only where it clearly saves time and passes the traffic-light test.
